I had to buy a new case for my computer, because the power switch just completely collapsed in on itself and the mechanics fell to pieces. I've moved all my hardware into the new case now, but now I am left with the small cables with the black plugs, for things like the power cables and front USB and Audio sockets. They all have some abbreviations written on them. I have no idea which pins on the motherboard they go on, there are so many which look the same and none of the abbreviations written on the board match any of them.

This is the worst part of building a system! Especially if like me your fingers are not good! One day someone will invent a standard plug???Normally in the mannual you will see where the USB plugs go. They will usually be marked -ve and +ve etc.I would make sure the power on and reset plugs are in the correct slot forst - do it bit by bit and dont rush it.For some reason the first time I did it and tried to download from my Camera it didn't work and the wire got VERY hot! So if you do it it might be worthwhile keeping a close eye on this when you first use it.What mobo have you got and what cables and plug markings are there?
